The experience will certainly be slightly different mechanically, but they’ve done an amazing job of creating cutscenes (in a visual sense, I mean) and things for the same original voice acting that highlight what’s going on in ways the original just couldn’t. It is super-well done, actually - they’re about to release version 7.0, and they not only love the original, but have a legion of fans who do as well and keep them honest! Actually, they even include a couple of missions as optional that were on the original CD but scrapped from the game - they recreated them for anyone who wants to experience them.

IMO Protoss two protoss missions, and the last UED mission are extremely difficult (the last UED mission is almost absurdly difficult to beat actually). The AI isn't genius or anything, but the AI will always rebuild lost buildings if it has the chance too making doing small amounts of damage less useful.
Mass Recall on its hardest setting is like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder than SC BW was (idk how remastered is) though.
It also has difficulty options (not present in the orig). It's also got all the additional missions and also neat cut-scenes (before the map starts) which are new. r/wow /r/diablo /r/hearthstone /r/heroesofthestorm /r/overwatch It’s well made mind you, so if Brood War’s controls get too bad for you it isn’t the worst choice. Mass Recall adds non-canon cutscenes that reframe a lot of missions, usually it’s not so bad but some are frustrating for people who like story.
